day 163: green day

Could be green day for Green Day and their few tunes on my iPod.

Could be green day for my youngest, whose class is celebrating all the colors, each day for the next two weeks. Today really was Green Day for her, and green shirts abounded on the playground. Green grapes and broccoli for snack time (appetizing, right?).

Could be for my favorite color. The color that, not too surprisingly, is the same color as his eyes.

Or, could be for a belt. A green one. That he just earned. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.....which would totally kick my butt. But not his. He keeps going at it, getting beat down and jabbed and elbowed and slammed and bruised and bumped....but he made it to green. Which means tomorrow he starts in on the brown belt. He's relentless, I tell ya.

Green. That's the color of the day.
