day 143: eleven
1.) He can always make me laugh. In any situation, under all kinds of stress, and most often at myself.
2.) He never compromises his values, beliefs, or standards for anyone for anything. Ever.
3.) He is my sounding board for problems and questions, my own personal problem solver. Even when his answer is, "I don't know."
4.) He forces me to relax and have fun, even before all my work is done.
5.) He loves his daughters like none other I've seen, and he takes so very seriously instilling in them the importance of things bigger than themselves.
6.) He gets me to say "yes" to his crazy, somewhat spur-of-the-moment ideas, and later I think, "Did I really tell him 'yes'?"
7.) He stays focused on his goals, and even when something falls in the way to deter him, he simply kicks it out of the way.
8.) He trusts me with absolutely everything that is his in his absence, money and all (and even the truck).
9.) He is never daunted by a job he doesn't know how to do; if he doesn't immediately know how, you can bet he'll figure it out....and do it pretty darn well.
10.) He will not take "no" for an answer when "no" is most certainly not the answer he wants. He will not stop until he gets the answer he wants and needs.
11.) He placed this ring on my finger eleven years ago, and I'm pretty sure he loves me even more now than he did then. Eleven years of good and bad, happy and sad....but spent together. Who knows what the next eleven will bring....or even the next year.....just as long as we spend them together.
I love you, Aaron.
Heidi, At our wedding, the pastor gave us a blessing that included "May the love you feel today be the least you ever do." I thought it strange at the time, but know that true love grows as it is tested and as both parties mature! I am sure Aaron loves you more today than 11 years ago. I too pray that this is the last anniversary you two spend apart! Hugs to you!
