day 153: words that are splinters

Ouch.

This one hurt.

I'd been gone from my kids all day, which should be a bit of a relief after being together all summer. Which I should be getting geared up for, since school starts in T - 2 days. Which shouldn't be a big deal when I tell the kiddos that I had no time at school today to get the last few things crossed off my must-do list before Wednesday has arrived, meaning I'd need to work on it some tonight.

But then one said, "Wow, Mom. You just don't have any time for us at all anymore."

Really?

So other than that, I have nothing else to say today.

Ouch.
