day 187: letter #2

Dear Husband -
Just in case you think your daughters may not think of you often....consider this.
Each and every time we drive by a police car with its lights/sirens on, there is this typical conversation: (words are accurate and based on today's incident)
Girl: "Mom! Do you see that!"
Mom: "Yep, I sure do."
Girl: "Mom! What's the cop doing?"
Mom: "Looks like he's helping those people since they had a car accident."
Girl: "Was anybody hurt?"
Mom: "Doesn't look like it."
Girl: "Is he arresting anybody?"
Mom" "Don't think so."
Girl: "I sure miss watching Cops with Daddy. Next time it's Saturday, we have to watch Cops so we can tell Daddy about it."
Of course, the highlighted incidents involving cops are the ones where we actually catch a glimpse of someone getting handcuffed , right from the privacy of our own car. And, during those few times, the girls always hoot and holler and tell me how much they miss watch Cops with you.
Who would've thought?
Much love,
the Wife

  1. We passed that car accident today. After having lunch with my mom at Emma's House of Pancakes.
