day 121: AFG from my computer screen
Skype success day 3.
Yippee for that.
I asked him how he rated a flat screen tv in his room.
"What?" he asked.
He walked over to it....and lifted up the black fabric curtain over his makeshift windows he had installed. Windows formed from the bulletproof windshield of some sort of armored vehicle. No flat screen tv. Good thing. That would blow the "roughin' it" stigma.
Then it was time to see someone we've only seen in still photos until now. Good thing, for he can't sit still for long.
Meet Sipr, the dog. Not Aaron's but Aaron helps take care of him, and I think he helps to fill the void of not being with our dog at home. It's safe to say the girls are in love with him (and their Dad).
That, folks, is the moon. The same one that shines over me in Indiana, the same one that peers out over you, wherever you lay your head at night. And the exact same one that makes a nightly appearance all the way in Afghanistan. Something about that makes my world seem a little bit smaller, makes the distance seem not so far. Makes less than three months seem....well, still like less than three months. We'll get there.
