day 29: the sound of not-silence

I think, maybe, that at 10:02 pm, the house is almost silent.

2 and 3/4 of the kids are asleep

(I give the fraction because I'm not sure that R is soundly asleep, but close)

1 dog is lounging

1 cat is hiding/sleeping

all major appliances are resting

Almost silent--except for my head.

It's currently a jumble of brainstorms, worries, lists, slight fears.

The to-do list in my head has grown exponentially over the last 24 hours, with no one to blame but me; and it is a list in my head, because I am excellent at avoidance techniques.

It'll all wait for me till tomorrow.
