our sign of the times

(how does one go from blogging daily to once every 30 or so? goodness...)
Well, we've gone and done it.
It's been a project lasting a planned 2 months but actual of 5.
Still, it's finally done.
This beaut? She's got a for sale sign in front of her. Her surfaces have been re-surfaced, re-painted, and gussied up. Her insides have been cleaned up, cleaned out, and re-positioned. Two storage units, 1200 feet of carpeting, and lots of throw pilllows later, she's ready. To go.
So maybe that's the answer to my question. This is precisely how one goes from daily blogging to monthly--when there are rooms to re-paint, goodies to gather from Menards, boxes to pack, and so on.
Yet here we are. For sale.
What's next? 5 acres in the country, or as country as you can get outside the 'burbs of this large city. We're going from "We live in Indy," which no one doesn't recognize, to "We're moving out to Cartersburg," which is greeted by "Oh....where's that?" That's exactly what we're going for. Country, low-key, more fields than houses. 5 acres, a barn, fences, woods, a stream....our little idea of perfect.
Well....a perfect fixer-uper, actually. This new one, she's a piece of work (strong emphasis on the "work"). She's not the type you'd label "move-in ready". She probably turn you away, by your choice. Yet she's got good bones, underneath her unkempt oustides. She'll be a work in process, and soon, she'll be ours.
